Introduction: The usefulness of sports for weight loss is well known. This is because an individual who indulges in any type of outdoor sport needs to run around a lot. This helps in burning of lot of calories in a small time and thus, leads to weight loss. It is advised that those individuals who are either overweight or obese need to take up some form of weight loss sports program so as to burn excessive calories.

A number of people tend to indulge in unhealthy practices such as having crash diets or such ‘magic pills’, most of which are not backed by enough scientific research.
